The more I read about New Orleans, the angrier I get. The blame is going everywhere except where it belongs. People ultimately have the responsibility for their own welfare. I saw a man sitting in safety say the He was 'Gettin Nothin' He said that he wanted $20,000 to put his life in order. He then followed that with an "F-bomb".
That is where the problems lie. We have gotten so dependant on the government that we can no longer take care of ourselves. In Denver we have an influx of Koreans. They buy a store or shop, use the profits to aid a relative or friend to start a business, then another, then another. They have it right!
We are mostly all descended from immigrants. They did not come to America looking for a handout. They came looking for a place to work and build something. as John F. Kennedy said
"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask instead what you can do for your country"
The Nanny Society will kill us all if we don't stand up and take care of our lives.
