Some historians look at the French and Indian war as the actual first World War. It was a War fought on multiple continents and at sea around the world. Given that, Then "The Great War" or WWI becomes WW2, WW2 is in actuality WW3. The Cold War was probably WW4 and the fight in which we find ourselves becomes - WW5.
OK, I'm just musing, but the point is -- This is a WAR! It is not a police action or a skirmish. We are fighting for our survival as a civilization. we are fighting an enemy who will strike at unarmed civilians, use children as missles and observe no 'rules of war'. Israel is the front line. London has become the left flank. They have taken Spain. France is defenseless, again. We need to stop fighting amongst ourselves and recognize who we are at war with.
We need to maintain our borders. We need to let the military do their jobs in places like Gitmo. I honestly do not care if a person dedicated to killing Americans and Jews is inconvenienced or embarrased. Quite simply -- The Hell with them.
We need to stay on our Senators and Congress-people! Stop the infighting and concentrate on the war.
On December 15, 1965 I took an oath to defend the constitution. I do not think there was a time limit on that oath. My brother veterans - you took that same oath. Some of us may be too old to get back into fatigues, however we are still able to make a lot of noise. Let the country know that we will not be beaten, Ever!
