Be careful what you wish for

You might get it.

For years the standing complaint about our president(s) has been that they were enslaved by the polls. Well we got a President who does what he thinks is right, and we don't like it either?

I disagree with some of President Bush's actions. I think, as do many, that the immigration bill was poorly put together. I think that he was too much of a gentleman in Iraq. Many people attack his faith. Lets look at some facts. He is a man who acts on his conscience. He does not rent out the Lincoln Bedroom. He is not a closet anti-Semite as Carter was (is?). He is not in debt to either Saudi Arabia or China.

The lies against the man have been streaming since his election. For instance - He flew F101's in the Reserves. Flying a plane is not like driving a car. Each aircraft has a unique set of characteristics. The F101 was a very difficult plane to fly. It was never used in Vietnam, hence tha fact that he did not go. Every story about his military service has been disproved.

The war took a while to turn around and was poorly planned. OK, I'll agree with that. However so were the Revolution, the Civil War, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. The cost of not fighting are much higher that one can imagine. Lets look at facts, not outright mis-statements
