OK, In Iran today (AKA Persia), a major political figure wants to kill all the Jews. Now have we ever seen this one before? Google the name Haman and Persia.
There's a song - Mi Y'malel that's sung around the holiday of Purim - which celebrates the Jews surviving a Persian (Iranian) Leader trying to destroy them
A loose translation of a couple of phrases:
"In every age a Hero or Sage arose to our aid...
And now as one all Israel must unite, redeem it's self through peace and sacrifice"
May I just suggest that today, in this case -- the term Israel is more inclusive? The peace, however comes after victory and rededication!
Don't these folks ever learn?
