Ok, folks, we have a Mensch in the white house. For years I have been hearing discussions as to what would have happened had Nixon admitted he was wrong. That question has been applied to Pre. Clinton as well.
Well - the article I have linked this post to (AP) plainly says that the President has said -- OK, it was my fault.
